Thanks, I use two fans to move air out of my basement to lower the radon gas levels. I've always used a box fan against the screen blowing out the basement and another upstairs blowing in. I'll move them two feet!

I've been using a similar method for many years. But I remove the stand and place the fan at an angle so that part of it is adjacent to the mask mesh, and cool air flows into the room, but you need to be careful not to leave the fan near the window when it rains.

Surprised by the description of the protection circuit being a fail-hot, where it requires an action (solenoid energized) to trip rather than a lack of an action to fail-safe.

Matthias, curious, have you tested how intake/exhaust is when using vented/inline fans?

The result; the (old fashioned ceramic fuse) literally launched out of the fusebox and the outlet has a large green burn mark that still there to thsi day, some 50 years later

seems to me the dreo's blades creates more concentrated airflow. but impressed with the power efficiency of the dreo. this convinced me to buy the dreo when i have the chance, have a vornado and was loving it but wouldn't mind an extra/backup.

Depending where you are, using cool night air can avoid most of the A/C use. E.g. England where nights over 20C are rare.

as someone who's shocked myself many times in and out of the same hand, from hand to hand legs before. I never suggest it! I have tripped afci and gfci both by hitting wires over the years, it was more or less a tiny pulse almost unnoticeable, especially compared to all the unprotected shocks and having dimly lit incandescent bulbs. I also suggest never wiring live or at least not without proper protection gear!

Yes and it's obvious why if you have it just at the window it's only sucking it in through the back. if you have it in front of it it's pushing it at the window it's pushing a way larger amount of it it still only has one way to go and it creates a stream that starts farther into your room, so it's more reliable.
